Portfolio updated

As indicated in the previous entry, I’ve updated my portfolio’s design somewhat. It now includes an ‘about me’ section and a skills rundown (parts of which are reflected in my résumé). I’ve also added a link to the portfolio in this site’s nameplate navigation.

Feedback on the newly-added text is appreciated, as I wasn’t entirely sure what to write.

Design-a-day #10

Preview of design #10

(wireframe, screencast; PSD by request)

This one is primarily an update of my original portfolio design to add an ‘about’ section and to try a higher column count (sixteen compared to my usual eight or ten). I didn’t really finish the description sections, which will retain their formatting.

Portfolio launched

(Screen capture of the portfolio.)

I’m in the process of applying to a number of jobs, most of which require a portfolio (who’d’ve thought?). I’d known for a while that I’d need one, but kept finding more interesting things to do.

Last night I decided to just get it over with, since it’s actually necessary now. It took four to five hours to collect the designs, crop them, code the HTML, and make up the layout as I went. It’s simple, but I’m pleased with it.

If you’d like to see the page (rather than just a screenshot), send me an email.
